Referring to the increasing tensions around Greenland, the head of Dutch diplomacy pointed out that the military conflict over the island would be a “very bad option” for Greenland, Denmark, as well as Europe and the United States. As he stressed, the future of the island should depend solely on the Greenlandians, not on decisions taken in Washington or Brussels.
