In a debate organised by TVP, there was a heated exchange between Grzegorz Braun (Confederation) and Adrian Zandberg (Together). The future of Polish energy and housing policy has become an inflammatory point.
“Can you explain this phenomenon?” – Braun vs Zandberg
The first question of the debate afraid the unpopular but, in their opinion, essential points of the programme. Adrian Zandberg and Magdalena Biejat pointed to the problem of housing. “We will not agree to another strategy of taxation subsidies to mortgage payments for some,” Zandberg announced.
Grzegorz Braun asked the leader together a provocative question:
– Left-wing candidates, Eurocommuns show concern about the deficiency of housing for Polish youth, at the same time they advocate implementation of EU standards that effectively block housing development. Mr. Zandberg, could you explain this phenomenon?
"Poland cannot be based on coal" – Zandberg's ripost
Zandberg replied that Braun was “uninformed” and duplicated myths. “We request not 1 atomic power plant but 8 atomic blocks by 2035,” he said. In his opinion, Poland can no longer trust on more costly coal extraction.
However, the politician did not straight address the issue of EU climate regulation, which, as Braun pointed out, could impede the improvement of construction.
Braun left no uncertainty about his position:
– We'll wait a long time for the atomic power plant. In my tenure Poland will return to coal!
