The agreement aims to modernise and extend the operational life of MATS anti-tank mines, which, as the German company emphasizes, have “been equipped with the Italian Army for many years”. As part of the agreement, the presently utilized MATS anti-tank mines are to be converted into MATS MK2 so that their effectiveness is enhanced.
