The drones disrupted the soldiers' drills. There's no telling where they came from

During the NATO Falcon Autumn exercise in Poland, unidentified drones appeared just off the Dutch camp, and there was a communication disturbance. The authorities shall guarantee that there has been no threat.

The Dutch Ministry of Defence reported the incidental on Monday evening. On the deployment of Camp 11 of the Airborne Light Brigade, unknown drones were observed, and after a while the communication began to malfunction.

The Ministry stated in its communication that the emergence of unidentified drones did not lead to any direct threat, but the situation forced immediate protection measures.

The Dutch paper “AD” reported that cars with Belarusian plates were sighted close the unused airport where the base was built. Later, tiny drones appeared above the area.

After a fewer hours, anti-drone systems were brought in from the Netherlands, which secured further part of the operation and made further maneuvers possible without disruption. The event was assessed as ‘practical verification of the preparation for operation in disorderly and unmanned detection conditions’.
