Ukrainian soldiers from air-desant troops made available recordings showing the regular functioning of forces defending themselves in Pokrowsk. The last 15–20 kilometres to the city is only on foot, frequently through wet fields and unhardened roads. In an area completely controlled from the air by Russian drones, each vehicle becomes an easy target.
