"Revelation of Gietrzwald is not a past time of nearly 150 years, but it is simply a informing sign against putting the life of man and the planet apart from God, beyond His commandments," said the Metropolitan of Częstochowa – Archbishop Wacław Depo during Mass on the second day of peregrination of the image of Our woman of Gietrzwald.

Peregrination in the parish of the Transfiguration of the Lord Drezdenko, where the Canonics of Lateran Regulars served was held on 21 and 22 March. On the first day in Vilnius Square, the painting was welcomed by the bishop of Zielono Góra-gorzowski – Tadeusz Lityński, the general Abbot of Regular Canons – Fr Edoardo Parisotto CRL and the Dresden parish priest – Fr Paweł Greń CRL. Later, the many residents of the city and diocese passed through the main streets of the city in a prayer procession to the parish church, where Bishop Tadeusz Lityński celebrated Mass to begin.

The metropolitan of Częstochowa was besides a guest of Peregrination – Archbishop Wenceslaw Depo, who presided over the Mary's Appeal on Saturday evening, and celebrated Mass on Sunday morning. At the beginning of the homily, the archbishop emphasized that we live in interesting times, on the 1 hand fascinating and on the another hand very dramatic, specified as the experience of wars and tensions in the world.

– In a superficial look, we experience that the individual existence of all human being, without mention to the God revealed in Jesus in Christ, especially in the regular experience of suffering and the necessity of death, seems to be completely meaningless. It is only this disturbing reality that makes us look for a comprehensive answer to questions about God and His relation to man and the world," the preacher noted. "It is faith, as St.John Paul II instructed us to urge reason to transcend all barriers of isolation and not hesitate to take risks in search of all that is truth, that is good and that is beauty," he added.

The main point of the sermon was to callback the apparitions in Gietrzwald. The guest from Częstochowa reminded the visionaries – Justyna Szafryńska and Barbara Samulowska – to whom the Virgin Mary appeared in 1877. – The Revelation of Gietrzwałd is not a past time of nearly 150 years, but it is simply a informing sign against putting the life of man and the planet apart from God, beyond His commandments. This is simply a informing signal against our human recklessness and irresponsibility for individual destiny as well as the destiny of another people's families and even the full world. That is why this call: “Resent the rosary all day” is simply a call for entering into the mystery of the life of the boy of God and of Mary in which we have our place”, the archbishop emphasized.
