Fifteen kilometers before the finish of the 3rd phase of the Tour de Pologne there was a dangerous crash, and the peleton could not go without ambulances. The decision to neutralise the stage, i.e. to keep the results of the general classification unchanged.

The Polish athlete ended up with abrasions, but Italian cyclist Filippo Baroncini has a broken cervical vertebrae – luckily without neurological consequences.

Paul Lapeira, the second in the general classification of Mathias Vacek from the Czech Republic and Michał Kwiatkowski, besides suffered in the crash. Lapiera has 2 cracked ribs – yet he does not intend to interrupt the race.

– 15 kilometers before the finish, a crash occurred in which the leader (French Paul Lapeira), Rafał Majka and another cyclists. All our ambulances stopped to assist. Peleton couldn't go on without ambulances. These are the safety requirements – explained Czesław Lang.
