The book by Swedish authors “Supposedly adults” raises the fundamental question: are adults, despite apparent differences, not truly very akin to children? In the dominant discourse on adulthood and childhood, specified similarity can be marginalized. But the question that comes back in the book undermines the obviousness of adult behaviour and reveals their agreement. In fact, many of them are the consequence of social expectations, not genuine needs or desires.
