From the beginning, we were convinced that Poland's membership of the European Union was a strategical choice. Therefore, the decision to set up an office in Brussels, taken respective years before accession, was a conscious step. We knew that more and more key decisions for entrepreneurs would be made there," he said.

He pointed out that this farsighted decision should be thanked Dr. Henryce Bochniarz, president of the Leviathan Confederation, whose visionary approach and strategical reasoning enabled organisations to effectively represent the interests of Polish business in the European forum.
"The European Union is not only a common marketplace and benefits of the free movement of goods, services, capital and persons, but besides a community based on security. Military safety remains the foundation of Europe. Over the years we have not paid adequate attention to him, but the events of fresh years have reminded us how crucial it is," he added.
Dr. Henry Bochniarz, president of the Leviathan ConfederationShe thanked all the people who co-founded the organization over the years. “We managed”, she stressed, stressing that the success of Leviathan was possible thanks to the engagement of many people and the support of politicians, including erstwhile Prime Ministers Jan Krzysztof Bielecki and Jerzy Buzek.

– My choice as president of the largest business organization in Europe would not be possible without 25 years of the Leviathan Confederation's presence in Brussels or without the economical success of Poland in fresh decades – stressed Maciej Witucki, president of BusinessEurope. He pointed out that Poland is at the heart of Europe today. – Experts and politicians from Germany or France come to us to observe the pace of our economical development. This is an historical chance – we have our "gold age" and we must make full usage of it," he added.

Prime Minister Donald Tusk then spoke. He congratulated Maciej Witucki on his election as president of BusinessEurope, stressing that this was the consequence of the determination and long-term work of the Confederation of Leviathan.
In his speech, the Prime Minister spoke about the challenges facing Poland and Europe today. He pointed out that in times of global uncertainty, erstwhile politics increasingly became a show of deficiency of responsibility, and the planet was amazed by events that only a fewer years ago seemed improbable, the ethics of work became peculiarly important.
– The future of Poland, Polish entrepreneurship, economy and Europe present requires an extraordinary, shared sense of responsibility. This applies to politicians, entrepreneurs, intellectuals, but truly to all of us. work besides means caring about the foundations of civilization – freedom, entrepreneurship, human autonomy and human rights," said Donald Tusk.
Referring to the changes in the last 3 decades, he estimated that despite many turbulence it was the best and most promising period in Poland's history. "It is thanks to all those who believed in individual entrepreneurship, courage of people and their imagination," said the Prime Minister.
The next item of the gathering in the gardens of Leviathan was the screening of the movie devoted to the 25th anniversary of the Delegation of the Confederation of Leviathan in Brussels.
The session was followed by a panel discussion entitled “What were our beginnings in the European Union and what lessons consequence from this for the future”. The debate was attended by Dr. Henryk Bochniarz, Prof. Danuta Hübner and prof. Jerzy Buzek, and was moderated by Maciej Witucki.
Professor Danuta Hübner She stressed that Europe is in a period of deep change present and must redefine its function in the global economy. In her opinion, the continent is racing with the planet and should usage its diversity and competitive advantages to compete effectively internationally.
Prof. Jerzy Buzek highlighted the evolving nature of EU financial support. As he pointed out, in the fresh budgetary position there are little easy to rise funds, and their usage requires greater innovation, ingenuity and well-prepared projects. He besides stressed that in the next 2 to 3 years it is essential to make an adequate ecosystem to make more effective usage of the European Enterprise Fund.
Dr. Henry Bochniarz recalls the beginnings of the Leviathan Confederation and the process of integrating organisations into European employers' structures. She stressed that at this phase the partners from Germany and France provided key support. Our employers from Germany and France helped us most," she said.
Representatives of the government and parliament, including Minister of Finance, attended the Lewiatan summertime gathering Andrzej Domański, Minister for Family, Labour and Social Policy Agnieszka Dziemianovich-Bąk, Minister for Culture and National Heritage Marta Cienkowska, Minister for Education Barbara Nowacka. The legislature marshals were besides present Margaret Kidawa-Błońska and Deputy Marshal of the Sejm Krzysztof Bosak. The gathering brought together over 400 representatives of business, public administration and partner institutions, as well as people who have been active in supporting the improvement of the Polish economy for years.
