Donald Tusk announces atomic deterrence. "We'll arm our friends"

Donald Tusk has just informed about talks conducted by Poland with France and "a group of closest European allies". The Prime Minister thus confirmed that our country is ready to participate in the atomic deterrence programme that France proposed.


"Poland talks with France and a group of closest European allies on an advanced atomic deterrence programme. We will arm ourselves with our friends so that our enemies won't dare attack us" - said Donald Tusk via X.



On Monday, Emmanuel Macron, the French president, reported that 8 countries agreed to participate in the advanced atomic deterrence that France proposed. 1 of these countries according to Macron was Poland. This is confirmed by the above entry of the Prime Minister.

Already in 2025, the media looked more closely at atomic deterrence in Europe. It was then reported that the task would presume the usage of French atomic weapons, and Germany expressed its willingness to talk after respective refusals.
