

Donald Trump was sworn in on Monday as the 47th president of the United States during a ceremony in the Capitol. During the speech he referred to the assassination of his life on 13 July 2024 in the town of Butler, Pennsylvania.

He stated that "for the last 8 years he has been tested and tested more than any president in our 250-year history." I learned a lot along the way. The journey to regain our republic was not easy, he added. He suggested that his political opponents "want to take his freedom and even his life."
