US Vice president to visit Greenland

Vance made a visit to the U.S. Space Force Base in Greenland on Friday. He criticised the Danish authorities for allegedly neglecting defence investments on the island and proposed that it be placed on a safety umbrella alternatively of Denmark.

Earlier, a delegation from the U.S. government led by Vance’s wife Ushy was to visit Greenland’s capital, Nuuk, and to admire the dog squad race in Sisimiut. Following protests by the Greenland Government and the local population, these plans were cancelled.
