U.S. president Donald Trump reported that key talks will be held with the Russians on Wednesday about the ceasefire. He expressed hope that Moscow would accept the proposal of a 30-day truce, which could importantly affect the situation in Ukraine. "We saw the difference between the last visit, the full ceasefire. Ukraine has agreed, and I hope Russia will agree. We'll meet them later present and tomorrow. And I hope we can make a deal, I think the ceasefire is very important" said Trump while watching Tesla's cars outside the White House.
The president of the United States stressed that a ceasefire is crucial to ending violence. “If we can get Russia to do this, it will be great. If not, it will just keep going, and people will die.” – he added. Trump did not specify precisely what gathering with the Russians was about, but later confirmed that it would take place on Wednesday.
“It takes 2 to tango” – said Trump, referring to the request for cooperation between both parties. "So I hope he agrees too, and I truly think that if he does, we will be in 75% of the way to the end, the remainder is documenting and negotiating established positions" – he added.
