Trump commented on the war in Ukraine and halted military and intelligence assistance for the country during an interview for Fox Business broadcast on Sunday. The interviewing writer Maria Bartiromo recalled the words of Andrzej Duda from her Friday interview with him, during which the Polish president suggested that Europe is incapable to support Ukraine decently and without American aid "Ukraine will not survive".

— Are you comfortable with that? That you would leave and that Ukraine might not survive?

“ Well, he may not survive, ” Trump replied. He added — without explaining what he meant — that the US "have any weaknesses towards Russia".

“You know, (to tango) it takes two,” he added.

Trump: No 1 has always been harder with Russia

When asked about allegations that he spoke in a conflict on the side of Russia, Trump replied that "no 1 has always been tougher to Russia" than he did, pointing to sanctions imposed by legislature for his first word of office on Nord Stream 2. He estimated that although he had a good relation with both Vladimir Putin and the leaders of North Korea and China, he had a tough policy towards these countries.

At the same time, he criticized the president of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenski for not showing his gratitude for American aid.

“ For Biden he took money from this country like candy from a child... I just don't think he's grateful," said Trump, adding that although Ukrainians fight bravely, they wouldn't be able to do it without American weapons.

He claimed again, contrary to the facts, that the US had given Ukraine $350 billion. In fact, the value of US aid is estimated at around 120 billion.
