Don't kill the children! Thus you can summarize the letter sent by the Catholic Association of Polish Physicians to infirmary directors with maternity and gynaecological wards. This is simply a consequence to pro-abortion writings that the National wellness Fund is sending across Poland. NFZ threatens hospitals that will ignore Isabella Leschina's guidelines on abortion.
Prolaborative writings from the NFZ
In early October this year, the directors of Polish hospitals received a reminder from the NFZ of guidelines Ministry of wellness concerning killing unborn children. The letter besides threatens to impose a punishment or terminate a contract erstwhile doctors do not undertake an abortion. In this way, the NFZ pushes for abortion with the so-called. Psychiatric reasons. At the same time, it has a problem with paying medical facilities for unlimited benefits, specified as childbirth. It follows that abortion is more crucial to Isabella’s crew than life.
Not life, but death
Hospitals are in a disastrous situation: they call off scheduled treatments, close down troops, deficiency money for drug programs. shortly there will be no money for staff salaries. It seems that the intent of the Ministry of wellness is not to heal wellness care, but to as much as possible the death toll among Poles – the smallest and older.
A letter of support for life
Catholic medical associations with the support of the Life and household Foundation on 7 October asked infirmary directors in Poland not to agree to engage in abortion, degenerating the full facility. We quote the full letter of support for infirmary directors at hazard of losing contracts with NFZ for refusing to execution children.

Letter of doctors to infirmary directors – full content:
Ladies and gentlemen, infirmary Directors in Poland!
We would like to support you in the hard situation from which you are in, after Minister of wellness Mr.Izabela Lestina issued 14.05.2024. Regulation amending the Regulation on general terms and conditions of medical care contracts and on 30.08.2024 Guidelines on existing government on access to abortion, on the basis of which any wellness institution implementing an agreement with the National wellness Fund on infirmary treatment in the field of gynecology and obstetrics will be obliged to kill unborn children, on the basis of a single certificate the wellness of the pregnant female has deteriorated. At the same time, Guidelinesthat the obtaining of additional judgments or opinions of doctors or the organisation of a consilium will be treated as a regulation of access to the abortion procedure, which will be punished financially with the hazard of the NFZ breaking the contract. any directors have already left punished for actions to clarify the diagnosis or treatment of your mother’s disease.
Abortion is not a treatment
Catholic Medical Associations, on 7.09.2024 in common position in the form of a letter to the Minister of Health, they spoke on the matter. We send the contents of this letter, for usage in defence of the rights of directors and medical personnel employed at your facilities.
We believe abortion is never a treatment or a means of restoring the woman's health, and it frequently worsens her physical and intellectual health.
The Ordo Iuris Institute has prepared an analysis of the Guidelines, in which it indicates that they are not a origin of law and are not binding on gynaecologists as a warrant for circumstantial treatment against pregnant women and their children. The guidelines in a pro-abortion and flawed manner interpret the selected provisions too the existing provisions of the Act on Doctor and Dentist Competition and the Code of Medical Ethics. Author Guidelines He anonymously ignored the fact that there were no changes in law in Poland regarding the admissibility of abortion and the work for illegal abortions.
Guidelines contrary to the Constitution
Do not accept the engagement of infirmary management and staff in abortion, degenerating the full facility and reducing staff's determination to save patients' lives in all wards.
The MZ Regulation violates Article 53 of the Constitution, guaranteeing all citizen's freedom of conscience. The guidelines conflict with the Constitutional Court judgement of 7 October 2015 (Event No K 12/14), which confirmed that it is not only against the Constitution that medical personnel are forced to participate in abortions, but besides that doctors are required to supply information on where abortion can be performed. Obliging infirmary directors to find patients places where they can kill a kid violates their constitutional freedom of conscience. ‘The NFZ should not, by imposing the work to execute a circumstantial benefit as a sine qua non condition of the conclusion of the contract, force the medical entities to carry out ‘morally sensitive’ benefits, and so should not force the formation of the medical personnel of those entities on a conscience basis.’
Danger to Pregnant Women
The guidelines pose a hazard of hindering access to medical services for pregnant women in institutions that will be deprived of a contract with the NFZ, which violates Article 68 of the Constitution. There can be double standards of availability for a conscience clause in patient care, different for doctors – doctors and infirmary directors. Article 2(3) of the Act on the pursuit of the profession of doctor clearly states that "the pursuit of the profession of doctor is besides considered to be the management of the medical subject’.
The Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe in Resolution 1763 of 7 October 2010 on the right to opposition to conscience as part of legal medical care indicated that "no person, infirmary or institution may be legally coerced, held liable or discriminated against by refusal to carry out, assist or submit to abortion, origin abortion, euthanasia or any another act that could origin the death of a human embryo or embryo for any reason’.
Professional ethics of psychiatrists
We hope that your psychiatric colleagues and colleagues, who are liable for your hospitals, will, in accordance with the doctor's appointment and the principles of professional ethics, approach the issue of certificates that may be death sentences for innocent children and that Gynecologists will realize the freedom of their consciences in your infirmary managers.
The Polish Constitution gives you as Directors the right to mention the Regulation of the Minister of Health, issued as a provision of the central state body, to the Constitutional Court in order to measure the compliance of this provision with the Constitution of the Republic of Poland. We urge you not to accept wrongfully imposed financial punishment and to exercise this right in view of the aggressive attack on the life and wellness of Polish mothers of their children and the conscience of doctors.
Chief Medical Council Against Guideline
The Chief Medical Council has besides criticised the guidelines of the Ministry of wellness on abortion procedures. "The creation of guidelines for doctors is simply a domain of only medical technological associations and technological bodies, while the issue of them by the Minister of wellness can be perceived as an effort to exert force on the medical environment"
We want you success in the hard and liable mission of managing hospitals for the benefit of patients whose wellness and life is cared for by staff employed. We ask for loving care for the wellness and life of mothers and their unborn and already born children.
Yours sincerely.
