National Medicines Producers hoped to welcome Prime Minister Donald Tusk's announcement of a fresh beginning on business facilitation issues. The list of regulations, both European and national, which limit the improvement and competitiveness of the home pharmaceutical industry, was communicated to the squad led by Rafał Brzoski, informs Krzysztof Kopeć, president of the National Medicines Producers.
Among the proposals of deregulation submitted by the National Medicines Producers were comments on the reimbursement bill. – In order to improve the availability of medicines and strengthen the national pharmaceutical industry, it is essential to abolish harmful regulations concerning the distribution of medicines, including a defective algorithm for calculating supply volumes and penalties, and mandatory deliveries to the 10 wholesalers indicated, as well as simplification of drug pricing mechanisms," says Krzysztof Kopeć.
In order to improve the wellness safety of Poles, effective tools to support the production of critical medicines are besides important.
The wellness hotel has prepared a list of medicines critical to the wellness and life of Poles, which should be produced in our country. Meanwhile, the European Commission's strategical Technologies for Europe Platform (STEP) initiative in the competition for financing public projects lacks a separate way or parallel competition for critical medicines and substances projects. The assumptions focus on financing investigation projects without any connection to their implementation in Poland and ignore the critical aspect of the safety of our citizens.
The alleged sewage directive will besides have a major improvement brake on the industry, imposing a burden on drug manufacturers on the costs of treating municipal waste water from the residues of medicines excreted by their users. The cost for the home manufacture was estimated at PLN 635 million per year. Only pharmaceutical and cosmetic industries are to be burdened, which violates the rule of proportionality and the "polluter pays" principle, as not only the residual products of these sectors go to urban waste water.
The solution would be to challenge these provisions to the TEU and to launch urgent work within the EU on calling on the European Commission to amend the Directive. "In the context of announcements by Prime Minister Donald Tusk and Head of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen concerning the rationalisation of the Green Deal, the amendment of this directive seems justified," says Krzysztof Kopeć. It recalls that during the presentation of the Competitiveness Compasse, the president of the European Commission announced a simplification of at least 25% of the administrative burden for companies and at least 35% for tiny and medium-sized enterprises. This simplification is intended to concern environmental government and the fight against climate change.
