During the gathering of the Committee on Environmental Protection and Municipal Economy, Councillor Sara Szynkowska a.k.a. Sęk raised the subject of late commissioned Berdychowski Bridges. She drew attention to the school's full dimension of the balustrade objects.
As she noted, this could be a threat to the birds passing through. She added that transparent obstacles have been the second origin of bird deaths for years. There are no shortages of different flying species of tiny residents of Poznań over Warta and in the area, so the threat may have serious consequences.
This argument was agreed by the committee president, Dorota Bonk-Hammermeister, who added that a solution should be found that would reduce the likelihood that an investment that enjoyed people would be a deadly trap for birds.
In response, representatives of the city office ensured that both they and representatives of Poznań City Investments are working to find the right solution to guarantee the safety of birds.
The president of the Commission announced a return to the subject at 1 of the forthcoming meetings.
