Nawrocki's win means accelerated elections? Poles responded in a fresh poll

Following Karol Nawrocki's victory, speculations about possible early parliamentary elections appear in the presidential elections. On behalf of Onetu, SW investigation conducted a survey on the matter. The results clearly show what Poles think about specified a possibility.


The survey participants were asked the following question: "Does the result of the presidential election mean that there should be accelerated parliamentary elections?"

28.9 percent of respondents replied "yes". In turn 52.1 percent of respondents were against earlier elections. The remaining 19% did not have an opinion on the substance or felt it was hard to say.

Accelerated elections would like 34.2 percent men and 24.2 percent women. In turn, given age, the biggest support for this thought is expressed by the youngest respondents – 43% under the age of 24. As we age, the support goes down. In a group over 50 years of earlier elections, 25.6% of those surveyed would like to be consulted.

The survey was conducted on 10-11 June 2025 by an online interview (CAWI) on the nationwide SW Panel panel. The example included 817 adult respondents and was typical of the gender, age and size of the locality.

Accelerated elections due to Karol Nawrocki's triumph in the presidential election?


Karol Nawrocki, a candidate supported by the Law and Justice, defeated Rafał Trzaskowski from the Civic Coalition in the presidential election. For many it is simply a informing signal or "red card" for the Donald Tusk government.

On Wednesday, he asked the Sejm for a vote of assurance he had obtained. "In favour" was voted by all Members of the Group: 157 KO MPs, 32 PSL MPs and 32 Polish MPs 2050 and 21 from the Left.

Against the vote of assurance for the government the Law and Justice (182 MPs) voted. The full Confederate (16 people), all representatives of the organization Together (5 parliamentarians), 4 (all) members of the Republican circle, as well as the full 3-member club of the Confederation of the Polish Crown. Donald Tusk had already announced the reconstruction of the government, which is due to take place in July.
