Good start. These kids won't get 300 plus. ZUS explains what conditions must be met

Good Start benefit.
These funds may be counted on by the parents and legal guardians of the student until his 20th birthday. The child’s parents and legal guardians with disabilities may proceed to receive this benefit until his 24th birthday. It is worth noting that the age of 20 and 24 counts year by year, so students of the last classes of technicians and advanced schools and students of post-secondary schools are besides entitled to this benefit, provided that the limit age, or 20 or 24, has reached the beginning of the school year in this calendar year.

According to information provided by ZUS, the benefit of 300 plus is not granted in 3 cases:

when a kid in a given school year goes to zero;
if placed in a social welfare home, a juvenile shelter, a correctional institution, detention of investigators, a criminal institution;
students studying in advanced school.


How to apply for Good Start?
First of all on time, that is, the conclusions between 1 July and 30 November of a given year. The application for payment of the benefit 300 plus is submitted to ZUS and is only done electronically. This can be done through: mZUS application, the Electronic Services Platform (PUE) portal ZUS, the Emp@tia portal and electronic banking.
