On the night of Wednesday, October 30, Russia carried out a massive attack on Ukraine aimed at key energy facilities. As a result, in many regions of the country there were power outages.
Massive Russian attack on Ukraine
According to data from the Ukrainian Air Force, Russia first fired drones, followed by maneuvering missiles and Kinzaz-type ballistic missiles. Most of them headed towards western circuits, including Ivanofrank, where many explosions were reported.
“Russia is again carrying out a massive rocket and drone attack on Ukraine’s energy infrastructure,” said energy minister Switlana Grinchuk.
The drama took place in Zaporozh. According to the chief of the regional military administration Ivan Fyodorov, Russian rockets hit the dormitory and respective floors were destroyed. There were fires. Urban infrastructure was besides damaged.
Eleven people were injured as a consequence of the fire, including six children aged 3 to 6. According to Fyodorov, Russia carried out at least 8 rocket attacks and utilized about 20 drones. Earlier, on the evening of October 29, the Russian Federation attacked the Bilenkiwska community in the Zaporoš region, resulting in 1 individual being killed.
At night, drones besides hit the village in the Kiev circuit. A 36-year-old female was injured in Borispol who was taken to infirmary with burns and cuts. Residential homes and cars were damaged, a fire broke out in 1 of the buildings.
Last evening the Russians besides attacked the critical infrastructure facility in Chernihov.
According to the latest reports, the attacks continue. Around 6 a.m., reports of monitoring stations said that rockets were already flying mostly over the winery and hopping circuits towards the west.
Poland picked up fighters. 2 airports closed
In connection with Russia's attack on Ukraine, the Polish Air Navigation Agency announced in its communication that "because of the request to guarantee the freedom to operate military aviation, the airport in Radom and Lublin was closed for action".
No information is given on how long the airport will be closed. As we wrote in naTemat.pl, on Thursday after 5 a.m., the Operations Command of Types of Armed Forces reported that "the operation of Polish and allied aviation in our airspace has begun".
It was further informed that, in accordance with the procedures, all available forces and resources were mobilised at the disposal of the Operations Command of the RSZ. As reported, "hunting pairs and early informing aircraft were picked up on duty, and ground air defence and radio-location systems reached a state of highest readiness".
