Why isn't Russia helping Iran? The expert has no doubt: Putin is not suicidal

Following the fresh attacks by Israel and the US on Iran, many observers have wondered about Russia's comparatively average response, as well as the fact that Moscow has not decided to aid Tehran despite earlier declarations of friendship. Zineb Riboua of the American think tank Hudson Institute has no doubt: Russia is not helping Iran due to the fact that president Vladimir Putin is an opportunist, not a suicideist and will not take the hazard of a direct confrontation with the US for Tehran.
