In Poland, politicians and media focus on the Russian-Ukrainian war inducing an absurd anti-Russian attitude. This completely obscures the essence of the war in Ukraine. What Donald Trump's government has now done to most Polish politicians and journalists of complete fools. To realize the essence of what is happening in planet politics, you gotta remove the point from which you look at it. erstwhile this is done, the war in Ukraine takes on a different proportion.
What is crucial in planet politics is the conflict between the US and China. The attitude of Americans to the war in Ukraine is the consequence of this conflict. I have already written about it that Russia has ceased to be a subject of planet politics and has become a subject of it. Both the U.S. and China know that to defeat a rival, Russia must be subdued. Americans supporting Ukraine wanted to lead Russia to bleed out, overthrow Putin's power and introduce a government at least friendly to themselves. However, developments have shown that these actions only made Russia more dependent on China. most likely Trump and his political facilities understood this and changed their strategy. They felt it was not worth fighting Putin, but to win him over with various concessions in exchange for abandoning China. Will Putin go for it? I don't think so, but I don't know what to say.
What does this American strategy change in Europe's power? A lot. The Americans will want to satisfy Putin's ambitions to any degree and make an effective barrier to Russia's expansion beyond what they themselves want to allow. They do not want to base this presumption on Germany and France, due to the fact that they would sooner start doing business with Russia than militarily halt her desire to rebuild the proceeds of the USSR. They choose Poland, Romania and Scandinavia, due to the fact that with Russia border and feel truly threatened by it. Ukraine's problem becomes secondary in this situation.
Everything I have presented above depends on whether Russia will agree to US plans. Russia may have more area for manoeuvre now, but the key will be the position of the large mute for now, or China. I don't know how, I don't know when, but I am convinced that in the improvement of political developments against the background of the war in Ukraine China will not let itself to be ignored. With the bare eye you can see that Americans want to play them and isolate them in the game that Trump is playing. I'm certain they'll be hard on what's happening any day now. It's about time China reacted.
What does all this mean for the Polish national interest? Unfortunately, nothing good. Poland can choose either to strengthen its alliance, or indeed to deepen its dependence on the US, or to take a view of European chaos, due to the fact that the strongest European countries and the full European Union do not have a imagination of ending the war in Ukraine, and there is nothing they can do about it without NATO.
The strengthening of the alliance with the US is actually a complete submission to American politics. There will be no more space for Polish national interests, which was inactive few. Poland will not have its own – wise or stupid – but its own, policy towards Russia, Belarus and Ukraine. The same will happen with China. The Americans will most likely only let controlled hostility towards these countries but Ukraine. Relations with individual countries in Western Europe and the European Union will likely deteriorate.
So far, the pillars of the abroad policy of the PO and PiS governments have been unconditional hatred of Russia and subjecting Polish national interests to Ukrainian interests. Ukraine was to fight Russia until victory. Ukraine won't win. Russia was to be excluded from the interstate community, and president Vladimir Putin pursued as a criminal. An alternate ally has mocked these principles and is about to bring Putin back to the world's political salons. I'm sorry to repeat what I wrote a while ago. It is confirmed that Ukraine lost the war. It was besides lost by Poland, and the ruling Polish Law and Justice Offices have been compromised.
