Accurate obstacle detection – even playing cards
ROMO uses an obstacle detection strategy at millimeter level, based on double eye-fish imagination sensors and wide-angle LiDAR sensors in semiconductor technology – precisely what DJI uses in its drones.
Thanks to device learning algorithms, ROMO can admit and avoid obstacles of up to 2 mm thickness, specified as charging cables or playing cards. Combined with data from many sensors, the robot creates a three-dimensional image of the environment, which allows it to navigate safely under furniture, in dark rooms or in narrow spaces.
Wide field of view eliminates dead points, and smart way planning allows you to effectively avoid irregular obstacles specified as table legs or cabinets.
Perfect map and way – experience with drones
With the mapping and navigation technology developed for DJI drones, ROMO optimizes the cleaning route, minimising time and maximising efficiency. The robot automatically adjusts the cleaning strategy to different types of obstacles – it thoroughly cleans around wires, furniture legs and corners, while bypassing soft objects or fluids.
Suck force at flag level
ROMO has a 25,000 engine Pa and air flow to 20 liters per second. Additionally, after detecting a litter for a cat or scattered particles, the robot automatically reduces the velocity and rotation of side brushes to avoid spreading dirt.
Easy cleaning of hair and hair

Base station that cleans itself
ROMO is designed to virtually not require maintenance for 200 days. 4 high-pressure nozzles and a large drain gap thoroughly wash moping pads and drain dirt.
The station besides uses a three-stage sound suppression strategy that reduces dust collection sound by up to 80%.
Intelligence in all corner – DJI Home app
ROMO integrates with the fresh DJI Home app, offering a minimalist interface and many automatic cleaning modes. You can set your own cleaning plans, cleaning zones and schedules with 1 touch.
Among the available modes are:
- Smart Carpet Cleaning – automatic carpet designation and location;
- Intelligent Threshold designation – accurate threshold cleaning without unnecessary overshooting;
- Kitchen & Bathroom Mode – dedicated mode for greasy dirt and mop cleaning after cleaning the kitchen or bathroom (to avoid dirt transfer);
- Pet Area Mode – increased suction force and reduced brush velocity to effectively collect hair and not spread gravel.
In addition, robot sensors can be utilized to view the house, talk to housekeepers or interact with animals. Camera features are full secured – they require two-stage verification and video transmission is encrypted. The camera can besides be completely turned off.
ROMO supports fast charging 55 W, which allows full charging in just 2.5 hours.
