More than half of Romanian citizens would support the union with Moldova in the event of a referendum. This is due to a survey conducted by the CURS centre.
In the event of a vote on Moldova's unification with Romania – which is publically supported by the president of Moldova Maia Sandu – 56% of respondents in Romania declare that they would vote in favour. 37 percent of respondents were against this solution, and 7 percent have no clear opinion.
The survey was conducted on a typical example of 1067 respondents – adult Romanian citizens over 18 years old.
Let us remind you that the president of Moldova Maia Sandu has previously stated that in the case of a referendum in Moldova on unification with Romania she would vote "in favour".
Romania's president Nicușor Dan, on the another hand, stated that Romania's unification script with Moldova would be possible at a time erstwhile the majority of the neighbouring country's citizens expressed their will.
