Members from the Delegation of the Sejm and the legislature of the Republic of Poland to the OSCE OBWE participated in the election reflection mission in Albania

On 11 May, parliamentary elections were held in Albania, followed, among others, by the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly. The Polish parliament was represented by the president of the Delegation of the Sejm and the legislature of the Republic of Poland to the OBWE MP Paweł Zalewski, Vice-President of the Delegation of Mr Barbara Bartus and members of the Delegation of Mr Radosław Fogel and Mr Catherine Ueberhan. Parliamentarians observed elections in Tirana and the surrounding area and in the Berat region. Jan Filip Libicki, representing the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe.

In the days leading up to the elections, parliamentary observers attended preparatory meetings, including a look at the electoral strategy and administration in Albania and discussions with organization and organization representatives. Members of the mission had the chance to meet both the president of the Socialist Party, who had served as Prime Minister for 12 years Edi Rama, and the president of the largest opposition organization - the Democratic organization - Sali Berisha.

International election reflection was a joint mission of the Bureau of Democratic Institutions and Human Rights of the OSCE (ODIHR), the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly, the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) and the European Parliament (PE). The mission was attended by 365 observers from 47 countries, including 238 experts and long-term observers deployed within the ODIHR, 97 parliamentarians and OBWE staff, 22 members of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe and 12 members of the European Parliament.
