Democratic Manifesto: Consumption

DEMOCRACY mostly serves to make people feel safe and happy. They are to have a roof over their head, warm and dry under it, a full fridge, light after dusk, water in the bathroom and access to a doctor and to reliable cognition for their children in schools. But of course specified a minimum program in the modern planet is not possible, due to the fact that so man was arranged that he wanted more and more.

We will avenge the oligarchs, billionaires, and a rich neighbor, but we envy them, and we would like to have as much as they do. Even godly Christians treat the tenth commandment as an addition to the ninth commandment of the desire of another’s wife. Jealousy that individual is richer is 1 of the strongest stimuli of civilization's development. The race of rats for this wealth may be condemned and ridiculed, but it is simply a real state in all community with fewer exceptions like Buddhist monks, ascetic sects, or another groups immune to consumer plague.

DEMOCRACY and the free marketplace are not only to fund the right to choose such, not another life and such, not another commodity in the store. They are besides intended to warrant the immunity of private property acquired legally, in accordance with the law and taxed by the State. This necessity to defend property besides shows that all state of possession generates in the environment the desire to rip out any part or all of our property and leave us to poorness and the request for retaliation, or to rip out any property of another victim. The law watches this with its guards, prosecutors, judges and prison keys. As a result, the human jungle has turned into civilized cities and villages, where we do not fight for food among ourselves, we usage the money that mediates the division of goods.

It is all apparent and the fact that DEMOCRACY builds its lofty values on specified foundations is understandable to all. fewer people remember, however, that consumption tends to escalate, to increase appetite as they eat, which does not seem natural. Appetitions for the collection of assets, buying supplies, filling cabinets with shoes that we do not wear, refrigerators delicacies that we will not eat before the end of the period of consumption, cars in garages, houses, palaces, hectares lying behind, diamonds in safes and so on, and so on – without reflection and without end.

Few people are aware that consumption kills DEMOCRACY due to the fact that it creates deep social divisions between the rich and the mediocre who have nothing to do with the slogans of Equality, Freedom and Brotherhood. Especially this Freedom evaporates unnoticed, and before we know it, it turns out that we are doomed to control, violence, and even greater poverty. DEMOCRACY is expected to warrant freedom of wealth, but “a man cannot equal” and any Obietek will get rich faster, and his fellow from the same town will not keep up with him.

In my homeland there were alleged "Saxon Times" erstwhile the slogan "eat, drink and let go of the belt" led the nation to demolition and democratic taking nobility, 1 of the first in Europe, overeating and drinking Freedom for long years. But it was the highest value for them. For a moment, it was repeated in the days of the “king” of Gierek, erstwhile people who were tormented by the dreary communists took a delight in buying. This has gone incorrect in our history, despite the heroic months of Solidarity.

This escalation of the pursuit of wealth seems to have returned now. This column is, of course, a voice in the wilderness and will not change anything. Even more so, I found that there was a fading tendency to read anything. Most people only look at pictures and possibly get to know the title. So I'm adding a image that is simply a large metaphor for my conflict of consumption with DEMOCRACY. Let's hope this conflict doesn't end again, as in the informing communicative about the jar and the mouse.
