Greenland is over 3 1000 kilometers from Washington. However, this does not halt Donald Trump from dreaming of having it. And from openly, repeatedly, talking about it. The expansionist ambitions of the US president may surprise or outrage. But there are reasons that have previously prompted Americans to make an offer to buy the island.
