At 56 Air Base, the last of the AH-64D (Delta) leased Apaches landed. The device will shortly be included in an intensive training program. The chopper was handed over by the American side as part of an agreement aimed at speeding up the training process of Polish crews and method personnel pending the latest Apache AH-64E.

The 8th AH-64D chopper reached Poland was informed by Deputy Prime Minister Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz. This is an crucial message for the Polish Army and our security. Lease agreement from February 2025, worth PLN 300 million, assumed transportation to 56 Air Base (1st Air Force Brigade in Inowrocław) of 8 utilized AH-64 helicopters in the older Delta version. The set of Delts received is intended to service pilots and SIL soldiers (engineering and aviation service) by 2028, erstwhile AH-64E Guardian helicopters begin to scope Poland. The last delivered Delta after the reception procedures will be immediately included in an intensive training program.

The acquisition of the AH-64E fleet is accompanied by systemic changes in the Polish Army, including the introduction of a fresh training of professional sub-commissioners on chopper military pilots. Previously, this function was reserved for soldiers with an officer rank. During a two-year course at the Air Military Academy Pilots will practice in the UK and USA, among others.
