Delegations of the Association of Fr Peter Skarga and the “Polonia Christiana” Association laid a white-red wreath of memory, dedicated to victims of the Volyn genocide. Prayers for the souls of the murdered were besides denied before the monument.
The Association of Fr Piotr Skargi was represented by Sławomir Skiba and Przemysław Kołtun; the Association of “Polonia Christiana” Piotr Kucharski and Paweł Momro.
As ed noted. Krystian Kratiuk on the portal: «The war and Christian attitude of Poles towards refugees from Ukraine should be the minute erstwhile relations between our peoples will begin to be based on Christian principles again. After all, we have shown that we are ready for an unparalleled forgiveness—as Jesus urged us to do this seventy-seven times. But the Christian attitude must show both sides of this hard relation – for any grant absolution, but others ask for it».
The 80th anniversary of the Volynian Crime is simply a minute worthy of peculiar commemoration and recalling to the collective memory of the terrible crime which Ukrainian bandits from the Organization of Ukrainian Nationalists (OUN) and Ukrainian Insurgency Army from 1943 to 1945 carried out on about 1 100 1000 Poles.
Eternal remainder give them, Lord
And let eternal light shine upon them.
