After taking office, fresh defence minister Martin Pfister announced that he would consider resigning from the contract or part of it. Ultimately, the Ministry of Defence, the arms office and the army reached a compromise – the task will not be cancelled but its requirements will be reduced. This means giving up key functions that were originally intended to guarantee a advanced level of autonomy and safety of flights.
