December 28th is trade Sunday? There's a large change after Christmas

Christmas, Christmas and after – most likely many Poles will say today. After a fewer trade Sundays in December, many people may wonder if we will besides store in the last one. However, we do not have good news for those who went to buying malls.


In December 2025, in terms of trade Sundays, we had a truly peculiar situation, due to the fact that in 3 in a row (7 December, 14 December and 21 December) we could store before Christmas.

Now that we're past a fewer days of celebration, people have started to wonder what happened on December 28. Unfortunately, the last Sunday of this year is not commercial. Stores will be closed that day. All we can do is look at Froggy or the fuel stations.

Trade Sundays in 2026 – full list


Let us remind: the ban on trade on Sunday has been in force in Poland since 2018. Initially, it was only a fewer Sundays a month. Currently, trade is only allowed on respective Sundays of the year.

In 2025 an additional day appeared, which was the consequence of the amendment of the Free Christmas Eve Act, signed by president Andrzej Duda on 24 December 2024. akin rules will besides apply in 2026.

By 2026, trade Sundays will come on the following dates:


25 January;

March 29;

26 April;

28 June;

30 August;

6 December;

13 December;

December 20th.


This means that trade Sunday will not be in February, May, July, September, October and November. An additional day for buying will take place on the last weekend of March, a week before Easter, which will give Poles more time to prepare for Christmas.

April's trade Sunday will take place a week before the May weekend – in 2026 on Friday 1st May. Like this year, most trade Sundays were scheduled in December – besides 3 in a row.
