In the next cycle Anti-war Debate jointly organized by Think Polska TV, the channel Against Censur and Pitoń tv participants wondered about the value of the lives of soldiers dying in the war.
In the discussion held by Tomasz Jankowski the participation of Prof. Bruno Dręwski, a political scientist from the Institute of east Languages and Civilization (INALCO) in Paris, Adam Laughter (Think Poland), Mateusz Piskorski (Think Poland), Sebastian Pitoń (Goral Veto, Piton TV) and Krystian Yachts (secretary-general of Polish Labour).
Blood value
The debate took place on a fresh basis. statementsAndrzej Duda in an interview given to the American paper "Washington Post", in which the Polish president estimated that the blood and life of Ukrainians represent a low cost of conducting war compared to the cost of involving American soldiers. The speakers wondered in this context about the ethical, intellectual and external level of the Polish political class.
"These are just the butlers of the United States. They take the place of Kapo in the concentration camp” – said Prof. Drwęski, comparing the behaviour of Polish politicians to the inferior prisoners of Nazi concentration camps, who at the same time tormented themselves over mediocre people located even below the hierarchy. “This is the country of Nadwiślański, it is no longer Poland” – a grim diagnosis of a political scientist from Paris.
His view was shared by Adam Laughter: “We are dealing with butlers who lead us to war”. He besides leaned over the actual destiny of average Ukrainians, acknowledging that “For generations they will pay for what is happening now”.
Sebastian Pitoń stated that it is entirely justified to talk in the context of actions by the Ukrainian authorities about pushing their own citizens into a meat grinder: “There were most likely no wars in which people were not so respected”. He warned that depopulating Ukraine could lead to a situation where “There the cannon meat will end, and we are next in line”.
Mateusz Piskorski found that the Polish political class suffers from "a complex of mythical Westerns. The superhumans are Anglo-Saxons. The death of Anglosas means more than the death of a Ukrainian or anyone else”. Krystian Yachty noted, referring to Duda's interview that "This message is simply a fatal message taken in the circles of power, but besides in Ukrainian society".
War murmurs on the border with Belarus
The escalation and threat of the outbreak of the Polish-Belarusian conflict was another subject of the discussion. "Polish political class plays Anglo-Saxon tension game" said Yachts. He added that in the face of a possible armed clash “Polish army is in a mess”.
“If the Anglo-Saxons do not make specified a decision, Warsaw will not take aggressive action” – calmed Piskorski. At the same time, he pointed to creating tensions and a threat atmosphere for interior policy purposes. This allows further attempts to restrict civilian rights, as part of a wide-ranging public space securitisation process. “This is simply a game that can get out of control at any point” – he added.
"We here are the aggressor, we here are the organization that initiates any seemingly hostile movements" – stated Pitoń unequivocally, commenting on the situation on the Warsaw-Minsk line. "The war with Belarus is on the table" – he said.
According to Laughter, subsequent actions of the Polish authorities clearly indicate the deficiency of any restrictions and readiness to escalate. "What we have been dealing with in the last fewer years is simply a disaster of diplomacy in the name of any sick militarism for which the Ukrainian people are now paying, but possibly we will pay too" – he said. Dręski, like Piskorski, nevertheless found that “The Polish-Belarusian war will not happen if the Americans do not let it”.
Why no 1 in Warsaw talks about peace
Prof. Drwęski pointed out that the Polish political class is present in a place where the ruling African postcolonial countries were prior to their period of emancipation observed in fresh years. “Polish leaders africanate. (...) They behave like warlords from the 3rd planet sixty years ago” – he said.
Adam Laughter besides saw any ideological inspirations affecting Polish abroad policy as important. "We are dealing with the caricature of prometeism. The full political class are any horrible puppets” He said. Meanwhile, in his conviction "There should be consensus in the global field on best relations with neighbours".
Sebastian Pitoń is disappointed with the deficiency of greater interest in Poles in safety and war threats. "Polish society should request this public debate. (...) We are in the avant-garde ability to push everything essential under the carpet” He regretted it.
"Poland utilized to be able to formulate peace plans, specified as Adam Rapacki's plan during the Cold War" – reminded Mateusz Piskorski. Over the past years, a very effective impact and manipulation apparatus has been launched, including in the area of mass culture. With his aid "Polish society was formatted towards war".
“Someone will yet start to value this Polish blood and it will not be worth more than a firearm cartridge” – concluded the discussion referring to the title question of the next Anti-War Debate Tomasz Jankowski.
