Barbara Skrzypek, a longtime associate of Jarosław Kaczyński, died on Saturday. PiS president suggested that her death was the consequence of the prosecution's actions, which had interviewed her as a witness a fewer days earlier. "We have a democracy fighting in Poland and we have the first death victim of a fighting democracy," Kaczyński said.
