They saw chemical and electronic shows, visited departmental laboratories, met with students and scientists – over 800 students from 16 schools under the patronage of the Military method Academy together with teachers took part in the Day with WAT organized on 20 November 2024 on the campus of the university.
Teachers and students were welcomed to the WAT Club, where they met with the staff and students of the Academy. On behalf of the Rector-Commander WAT, Brig. Gen. Prof. Dr. hab. Inż. Przemysław Wachulak, all participants of the gathering were greeted by the Vice president for Student Affairs Dr. Monika Szyłkowska, Prof. WAT, thanking for specified many arrivals.

Students from the Cybernetics and safety Department, Logistics and Management Department told about the everyday life of a military and civilian student. Chemical screenings were conducted by Dr. Marcin Har from the Department of Explosives of the Faculty of fresh Technology and Chemistry, while Dr. Grzegorz Czopik, prof. WAT from the Department of Electronics Radioelectronic Systems presented recommendations to guests of his technological field.
Aviation and cosmonautics, mechatronics, construction, mechanics and mechanical engineering, computer science, cryptology and cybersecurity, groundbreaking technologies, chemistry, electronics and telecommunications, logistics or national safety – these are only any directions of military and civilian studies. The subjects are educated in 13 courses of uniform master's degree. civilian students can besides choose a five-year learning mode or benefit from the anticipation of two-step learning. As many as 54 courses of survey at all levels and forms were prepared for civilians, besides in non-stationary mode. WAT besides conducts studies in English. In accordance with the decree of the Minister of National Defence of 11 October 2024 setting admission limits for individual courses at military universities in the academic year 2025/2026, 2661 seats will be waiting for professional soldiers. Most, due to the fact that as many as 1,243 candidates for officers will accept the Military method Academy.
Future candidates were besides acquainted with recruitment rules. The requirements for military studies are higher than for civilian studies. A voluntary primary military service in the university may be initiated by a individual with Polish citizenship, not being punished for intentional crimes, having at least 18 years of age on the date of appointment (in the recruitment procedure a individual who obtains full age by the end of the year), having a certificate of maturity on the day of examinations, with adequate physical and intellectual skills for military service (declared by the military intellectual workshop and military medical commissions) and with an adequate level of cognition of English. Registration of candidates for military studies will start on 1 March 2025. In the recruitment process, you should registry in the Recruitment Portal of the Polish Army on the website bezozolnierzem.pl, apply to the Military Recruitment Centre for a voluntary basic military service in the military college, conduct intellectual examinations, complete registration in the net Candidate Registration, introduce the recruitment fee, introduce the results of the M.A. in the IRK system, enter the physical fitness test and interview, and conduct medical examinations in the military medical commission (those who will pass the examinations positively).
Recruitment for civilian studies requires completion through the IRK of applications for admission to studies (from 1 April to mid-July), payment of the recruitment fee immediately after registration (up to 5 courses can be selected in all forms of civilian studies under 1 fee). Enter in the IRK the results of the certificate of maturity, and after qualifying the transportation of a copy of the certificate of maturity (original for inspection) to the Recruitment Section in due time.

The largest group, due to the fact that over 200 people, visited the Department of Mechatronics, Armourment and Aviation. Groups of about 100 people visited the Department of Security, Logistics and Management and the Department of Cybernetics. respective tens of people saw the Faculty of Electronics, Department of Land Engineering and Geodesy, Department of Mechanical Engineering, Department of fresh Technology and Chemistry and the Institute of Optoelectronics. On WAT Day there was besides a military equipment show at the Military Technology Park. Before leaving, students were given military peas.
