Dariusz LASOCKI: The vicious ellipse of the Polish electoral administration

In January 2020, I received the act of appointment to the National Election Commission at the Presidential Palace. I was 1 of 7 "non-judges" in the Polish central electoral body, which for a 4th of a century was the exclusive domain of judges. Over the next 4 years, I had the chance to observe from the inside how the PKW truly works – and to see that the question about the dispute of the Polish debate on electoral administration is poorly posed. The Senate's draft amendment to the Electoral Code of March 2026 confirms this with full force.
