We have known about Denmark's interest in the German air defence strategy for a very short time for many months, but there has been a long silence on this issue, including the executive agreement. Shortly before its conclusion [French Force Operations Service reported](https://www.forcesoperations.com/le-missile-mistral-3-presume-vainqueur-au-danmark/) that the Danes would opt to integrate their Skyrangers with Mistral 3 anti-aircraft missiles (although no authoritative confirmation is yet available), indicating the imminent conclusion of a contract for the tower strategy itself. It was in favour of competition through performance, increased production, cooperation within the European manufacture and the anticipation of backing under the EDIRPA programme.
