Damen will build support ships for the Dutch fleet

Secretary of State in the Ministry of defence of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, Gijs Tuinman, informed the home of Representatives about the request to order fresh multi-role support units for Koninklijke Marine. The concept provides for the acquisition of 2 universal ships (ondersteuningsvaartuigen), based on a common platform, which, depending on the need, will be utilized to supply a fresh platform.
