Is that how we want to live? National Review of the Confederacy Programme - Part Two

narodowcy.net 1 year ago

We proceed our analysis of the Confederate programme from the position of Polish nationalism. In this section, we will look at the party's ideas for education, wellness care and relations with the European Union.

The chapter of the programme entitled "Effective European Policy" starts with a fair diagnosis of the harassment of Poland by uniocrats. The European Union is in fact a tool for economical and political dominance in the hands of the liberal-left establishment. The Confederate wishes to apply a rule which, in their right opinion, was not applied by earlier governments. This is about assertive attitudes and consistent rejection of EU rules that violate EU rules.

The Confederacy's proposal is highly general. The programme here talks about the request for Poland to usage tools available in the Union, specified as veto law or the Commissioner's institution. It is besides essential to apply force to the institutions of the European Union through diplomatic efforts. And that's it. There are no specific, systemic solutions here.

Systemic methods for repairing a non-active component of the state, however, appear during education, and it is here that the Confederation has any of the most extremist ideas. The rescue for a malfunctioning strategy is to be the celebrated educational and caring voucher and the associated revolution that changes the full of Polish education.

The antidote to excessive bureaucracy and the mediocre quality of Polish schools is to reduce the function of the state completely to control student performance and to supply a financial motor for education entities. Each school could plan its own plan and its own concept of the school year to force institutions to compete for a student. This is where the thought of a gift certificate comes in. Each student will be assigned a certain amount of money, identical to the exceptions (e.g. peculiar educational requirements or location in a tiny municipality). all period this amount would go to the school where the student is enrolled. Schools will besides be able to get finance from another sources specified as sponsors, tuition, grants or local governments.

The thought of limiting the function of the state to the main examiner and the origin of funds while leaving the full task a basic curriculum for schools is an highly irresponsible thought in the context of the ongoing cultural war. The deficiency of state control over the full curriculum led to the mass admission of rainbow activists to schools in the United States. Allowing them to be completely self-voluntarily in this respect will let them to do akin activities in Poland as well. We must not forget that it is simply a well organized and, above all, a well-funded movement.

This is crucial in the context of admission to sponsor schools, which is simply a de facto lobbying gateway. Lobbying done not only by, as can be presumed in the context of the full views of the Confederation, entrepreneurs and companies, but besides by all kinds of foundations and associations, frequently financed from abroad. It's easy to connect threads at this point. Without state control, the strategy would rapidly be infiltrated by all kinds of undesirable forces.

It is actual that Polish education requires refurbishment and thorough redevelopment, but subjecting it partially to marketplace laws will origin a moral disaster.

What is interesting is the thought of changes in wellness care. The main nonsubjective of the Confederation's programme is to break the monopoly of the National wellness Fund for the introduction of a market-based competition strategy based on the 1 in force in Germany. As in the case of education, each supplier would be assigned a wellness voucher in the form of a certain amount of money that would then follow the patient to the insurance company chosen by him. The organization claims that this will be adequate to increase the standard of healthcare in Poland. It is unnecessary to supplement any staff shortages or additional cash injections. Removing the NFZ monopoly is expected to be a panacea for all strategy problems.

Let's halt here for a minute. Is the strategy based on private insurers to deburocraticize wellness protection and make it little costly and higher? It doesn't sound real. In particular, given the fact that Germany is the country that spends the largest amounts of cash on healthcare throughout Europe. Last year, almost 13% of GDP went to German healthcare. Compared to Polish 5% of GDP, or about 154 billion PLN, this is much better. In this context, it is hard to believe in the reality of the party's medical program.

The complete transformation of the wellness care and education strategy with the ideas of the Confederate seems at best to be a naive fantasy of people who are afraid with the idols of the free market. At worst, with an highly harmful treatment, which would have left-wing activists of many Polish children. In the next part of the article we proceed to analyse the program.
