Was Carl Acutis' holy life a foreshadowing of the Eucharistic Miracle in Sokółka?

The curious thing is that the Eucharistic Miracle in the Soktal Church, which took place 17 years ago, happened precisely on the second anniversary of the death of Blessed Carl Acutis, the world's largest promoter of Eucharistic Miracles. The miracle in Sokolka, which Rev. Archbishop Edward Ozorowski called “a fresh hope for the world” opened a full series of specified wonderful events, 3 of which (Sokolka, Legnica, Vilakkannur) are already recognized by the Church. There's another 1 going on.

A Unique Worship millennium Carlo for the Eucharistic Jesus

Considering the power of accepting Christ in the form of a Eucharistic Bread during the Eucharist, in the context of the 17th anniversary of the Eucharistic Miracle in Sokółka, 1 cannot ignore the fact of fresh beatification Carlo Acutis and the peculiar reverence he had for the Eucharistic Christ. Carlo Acutis left us a message: "To scope heaven, we request specialized means, i.e. sacraments and prayers." In his short life, Carlo placed the sacrament of the Eucharist in the first place, which he called the “autostrade to Heaven”. Indeed, his beatification occurred at road speed.

“To be always connected to Jesus—this is my life plan,” he said. Carlo Acutis. And with his life, he made it clear that this "merging" can be achieved as frequently as possible by entering Holy Communion and adoring Jesus the Eucharistic. "Standing before Jesus in the Eucharist, we become saints," he frequently emphasized. His fascination with Jesus Christ in the Eucharistic Bread was remarkable. due to Carl’s spiritual maturity, he was given the sacrament of First Holy Communion at age 7.

When he was only 11 years old, he created a multimedia exhibition dedicated to Eucharistic miracles in the world. At that time, it was very innovative. Interestingly, this exhibition is so interesting that it was presented to all continents of the world. In the United States alone, the exhibition hosted thousands of parishes and over 100 universities and was besides promoted at respective Episcopal conferences, including the Philippines, Argentina and Vietnam. It was besides shown in China and Indonesia. The largest basilicas and shrines hosted the Carla exhibition, including the sanctuary in Guadalupe and Fatima.

Before the miracle in Sokolka

This activity of teenage Carl Acutis looks like the preparation of “peoples and nations” for the full series of Eucharistic Miracles, which began with the Miracle in Sokolka (2008). Shortly thereafter, there was the Eucharistic Miracle in Legnica (2013). Both of these events were recognized by the Church. Not further than on May 31, that year, the Church recognized as a actual Eucharistic Miracle in Villakannur, India (2013).

Notice that 2 of the so-far recognized Eucharistic Miracles of the 21st century happened in Poland. Let us return to Carl Acutis' strong conviction about the request to spread cognition of Eucharistic Miracles around the planet and look at the function of building religion in the soul of small Carl by his Polish nanny – Anna Spereczyńska. Carl’s parents, though baptized, were not spiritual at the time.

It was the nanny from Poland who instilled evangelical and ecclesiastical truths in a tiny boy, who is present a blessed Catholic Church. Spereczyńska, in an interview given to the Weekly Sunday She said that there were respective women with good references for the function of Nanny Carl, and yet she was the 1 who received it. "I believe that Carl chose me, not his grandparents (from the author – Carlo's grandmother, from her father's side, lived in England, she was a spiritual Polish named Maria Perłowska)... I taught him in Polish the prayer “The Angel of God”. It was the first prayer he always met. The first spiritual image was besides given to him by me. There was an image of Our woman of Czestochowa. From an early age, I taught him how to live close Jesus. To him, this relation was completely natural – it was almost friendly, as if they knew each another forever... He peculiarly experienced the closeness of Jesus at the Holy Mass," recalls Anna Spereczyńska. It was she who introduced the future blessed into the mystery of Christ's presence in the Eucharistic Bread.

Eucharistic Miracles – Restoring religion in Transsubstance

For Carl, the Eucharist rapidly became the center of his life. Hence, he was greatly hurt by human disbelief in Christ’s presence in the Host. As you know, Carlo belonged to a generation that freely navigates the Internet. It was from the net that he learned that many Catholics do not believe in transfiguration during the Eucharist (according to investigation conducted in the United States, 60 percent of Catholics do not believe in transfiguration there). This was the main motivation that led Carl Acutis to create, mentioned earlier, an exhibition on Eucharistic Miracles. Carlo believed that God performed these miracles to convince the infidels of his real presence in the Eucharistic Bread (Carlo is the patron of the Catholic Eucharistic Revival movement in the United States).

It is precisely the strengthening of belief in transsubstantiation that the message of the miracle that occurred 17 years ago in the Sokolska temple is read. "Although a Eucharistic miracle is performed wherever the Most Holy Sacrifice is held, it has been doubled in Sokółka. The miracle of religion was strengthened there by an empirical miracle... The hope for the planet is born again in Sokółka," said Archbishop Edward Ozorowski, a white-stock metropolitan. I am peculiarly moved by the last conviction of this statement. In the context of successive Eucharistic Miracles, which occurred after the falcon miracle and the rising wave of conversions around the world, they can be considered prophetic words.

This hope, which is born again in Sokółka for the world, is faithful who believe in Christ's presence in the Host, believe that God is so close to us and draw strength from this religion to do good. How powerful this closeness of the Eucharistic God is is, we read in the account of 1 of the priests who was fortunate to see the Sokólski miracle shortly after it occurred. "When the parish priest of St.Anthony Stanislaw Gniedziejko took the corp out of the Tabernacle, and on it a communication with a part of the Heart of Jesus – we fell to our knees. It was absolutely stunning. I must have heard the beating of my heart – it was beating so hard from the takeover”recalls Fr Jarosław Ciucha, who is present the parish priest and curator of the Eucharistic Shrine of St. Anthony in Sokolka.

Eucharistic Miracle in Sokółka

On October 12, 2008, on Sunday, during the Holy Communion during the Eucharist celebrated in St. Anthony Padewski's church in Sokolka, 1 of the priests dropped a consecrated Communist. Acting according to church procedures, he was placed in a liturgical vessel called vasculum, filled with water. According to the laws of nature, the Communicator was to dissolve completely in it. But it didn't. After a week the nun (the Eucharistist) looked into the vasculum and saw that the water in it was red and the central part of the Communicant remained, which looked like a red place or a tiny blood clot. This was considered by the parish priest, who shortly informed JE Rev. Edward Ozorowski, then Metropolitan of Białystok.

The Archbishop sent his messengers to Sokółka. erstwhile they saw an different phenomenon, they found that a preserved fragment of the Communist should be subjected to technological research. It was conducted by 2 independent, experienced specialists in the field of pathomorphology – doctors of the Medical University of Białystok. Although scientists worked separately, they both came to the same conclusion – “the test substance is simply a part of the muscle of the human heart, being in agony”.

After reading the results of these studies, Archbishop Edward Ozorowski set up a peculiar commission that investigated a case concerning an extraordinary Eucharistic event for months. The Commission did not detect any hoax, thus confirming the supernatural nature of the phenomenon. The case files were transferred to the Apostolic Nunciature in Warsaw. Since then, the Vatican has been investigating the matter, especially the miraculous spiritual and physical healings that continue. In March 2017, St. Anthony Padewski's church in Sokolka was established the Eucharistic Sanctuary.
