We've been feeding birds all winter. We were most attracted to the rickets, but the black-and-red-white woodpeckers were the most impressed. Yesterday we found this woodpecker dead. We were very sorry, we did a funeral, and... we decided that cats were bastards, due to the fact that most likely the woodpecker got 1 of the cats to visit us rather often.
How many birds kill cats in Poland all year?
A million, 2 million?
No! No! Over 140 million!
Given that we have about 200 million birds of childbearing age in Poland, and the number of eggs laid by birds is several, these 140 million are a serious problem.
I wouldn't blame cats if they ate caught birds. Unfortunately, most birds only die after any time, due to the fact that cats in saliva have bacteria that are lethal to birds. Even a tiny morning causes them to enter the organism, where, leading to sepsis, it effectively and rapidly kills the bird.
Cats are not part of the natural environment, like, for example, a viper or a lynx. They are part of a human civilization that destroys Nature.
