Who's this about? It is not about Russians, due to the fact that as long as we are ruled by a compatible duo in Poland, there is simply a command of hatred, contempt and fear. No deviations from the “essential direction”: you must show at all step the fear of Russia by fulfilling this most crucial work of the true, shaped by the 3rd Polish citizen.
Here, any omission is simply a "trade." It is not about the majority of Ukrainians, or citizens of our east neighbour, due to the fact that we have not suffered any harm from most of them. Their country, whose borders have been set by the long-established russian Union, besides includes nations with which we have no bad past, and their attitude towards Poland and Poles was and is neutral with an indication towards a favorable one; let us give an example of the Zakarpatczyks who have lived in the neighbourhood with Romanians, Hungarians and Gypsies, and even German-speaking settlers, and they did not come to think of “cleaning” their land with axes from alleged foreigners. I am reasoning about policies originating from the erstwhile lands of II Poland, i.e. the erstwhile provinces of Volyn and east Galicia. Thus, for most alleged Zachidniks, for which Bandera is simply a national hero and UPA and UON (and their "heroes") are part of the actual national pantheon. If at least they were silent about the crimes committed by their ancestors, they were waiting to be forgotten ("time heals wounds", if that is what we want and we will not dwell on) following the rule of quieter over this coffin (the coffins), for "we have something to be ashamed of."
In this way, it was desirable to silence the evil past in the russian period waiting for amnesia in the name of a better future. After 1991, in an independent Ukraine, in an crucial part the community of forgetfulness was lost, a cult of the authors of mass genocide was eagerly built, who have the conscience of killing under German business 1941-1944 hundreds of thousands (how many exactly? to this day it is unknown) of the citizens of the Second Republic of Poland: Jews and Gypsies and later Lachów and even fewer Czech settlers. The murders were mass, unimaginable in their cruelty even for German patterns and – worst of all – "spontaneous", with the mass participation of alleged average people. There's no place for relativisation and symmetism.
We will not forget, and we will not forgive, unless the authority of this state would condemn the direct murderers, their leaders and remove their names and similarities from public space, Should modern NORYMBERGA take place over the perpetrators of genocide? Should IM be proven guilty in a formal criminal trial? Why not? There should be a list of victims, not only of the Volyn massacre but besides of Galician slaughter. Their names should be immortalized in a public place with us and Ukraine. Exhumation and burial of their bones is obvious.
A monument to victims of genocide, including an updated list of victims, should be built in the centre of Warsaw. They were the Martyrs of POLAND.
