End of lex tusk?
On Wednesday evening, the Sejm dismissed in a vote 8 members of the State Commission for the examination of Russian influences on the interior safety of Poland from 2007 to 2022: Sławomir Cenckiewicz, Andrzej Zybertowicz, Przemysław Żurawski a.k.a. Grażewski, Łukasz Ciegotura, Marek Szymaniak, Arkadiusz Puławy, Andrzej Kowalski and Michał Wojnowski. These members were dismissed by a majority.
Prior to this decision, the president of the committee, Prof. Sławomir Cenckiewicz, presented preliminary thesis from the committee's first months of work. The Commission on Russian influences on the safety of Poland was created a fewer months before the parliamentary elections in 2023. The opposition from the erstwhile Sejm word expressed concerns that it could have been another PiS weapon directed against political rivals. Cases specified as the Russian gas supply contract, signed for the PO and PSL government, were pointed out.
It was argued that the committee was set up in violation of the law, which was emphasised by the RPO, among others. Doubts about the powers of the committee were raised by the United States. As a result, inter alia, a provision was removed which allowed for the prohibition of public positions of work for the safety of the State to persons who, according to the committee, cooperated with the Russian Federation.
The deficiency of power is prolonged. The suspicions that the "report" of the lex Tusk committee will be the reason why Duda refuses to curse the Tusk government, are more about the fallen power of the Law and Justice than about the suspects. Constitution breakers and reassumption practitioners have no credibility.

Commission thesis
A fewer hours before the vote, the committee on Russian influence presented thesis that she developed during a fewer months' work. As Prof. Sławomir Cenckiewicz stated, this work was based on the analysis of the Military Counterintelligence Service. According to the committee, SKW during the Po and PSL governments was influenced by Russia.
One conclusion is that Tusk agreed to cooperate between the SKW and the Russian national safety Service. According to the members of the committee, SKW's contacts with the FSB before signing the 2013 agreement and without adequate supervision.
As the president of the committee, Prof. Andrzej Zybertowicz, the committee recommends not to entrust politicians specified as Cichocki, Tusk and Sienkiewicz with “positions and public functions related to the work for state security”.

Short circuit on the speaker
During the debate, Jacek Ozdoba from PiS powerfully criticized Donald Tusk, reminding him of a reset with Russia from 2007 to 2014. He besides presented a photograph of the then Prime Minister with Vladimir Putin.
