In early June, Czech defence minister Jan Černochová announced that the acquisition of Leopard 2A8 tanks was placed on the list of strategical purchases (with the acquisition of medium-sized transport aircraft Embraer C-390 Milenium). At the same time, it was announced that an agreement would be presented in a fewer weeks with another countries in that country. The contract is to cover the acquisition of a maximum of 77 vehicles, of which 61 vehicles are to be purchased under the basic order. The plan was accepted by the government in Prague [at the end of June](https://defence24.pl/strong-armoured/chech-buy-over-70-newest-leopardow), which allowed the negotiation process to begin, mainly on industrial cooperation, between the parties. We are talking about the engagement of [Czech manufacture in the production of components for Leopards 2A8](https://defence24.pl/industry/chech-wezma-participation-in-production-newest-leapard-2) for the Land Army, but most likely besides possible export customers.
