From 200,000 to 250,000 people demonstrated
On Saturday in Prague against the government of Prime Minister Andrej Babisz, according to estimates of the organizers of the demonstration on the initiative of the Million Moments for Democracy.
The Cabinet was accused of, among others, authoritarian kind of government
and heading the country east.
According to the organizers, the action was to draw attention to the erosion of democracy and the steps of the government that lead to it. There were no active politicians among the speakers at the demonstration. People of culture, scientists, actors, doctors and environmentalists spoke. Among others, a limited defence budget has been criticised, which undermines both the reputation of the country and its security.
