Currently, the Czechs lease a squadron with 14 aircraft [Gripen](https://defence24.pl/page-tagow/jas-39-gripen). The agreement was concluded in 2004 and was subsequently extended in 2015 to 2027. However, this period is insufficient. The successors of the Gripens are to be [F-35A ](https://defence24.pl/defence-defence-policy/Czech-f-35-defence-be-in-work-with-Germans)in 24 copies. Let us add that the Czech Republic signed an agreement to acquisition F-35A fighters in early 2024, 29 January – equally 4 years after Poland bought its aircraft. However, the first of these aircraft will be available in 2031 and the operational readiness of the machines will scope even later.
