Czechs get more than 100 leopards 2

As early as May last year, the Czech government entrusted defence Minister Jana Černochová with starting negotiations on the acquisition of 2A8 Leopards for the ground troops as part of a joint acquisition with the national Republic of Germany in the amount of about [70 copies including support vehicles] (https://defence24.pl/sily-zbrojne/czesi-negocjuja-zakup-najnowszego-leoparda). Of the full pool of 123 tanks available for purchase, only Germany has so far acquired 18 units, in order to replenish its holdings after the handover of the Leopards 2A6 to Kiev. Now it has been confirmed that of the remaining 105 obtainable tanks Prague will buy 76 tanks, leaving possible willing (Netherlands?) 29 copies for possible purchase. This decision means that the Czech army will not only completely replace its fleet of post-Soviet T-72M1 and T-72M4, but will besides be able to send at least partially owned Leopards 2A4 to a shallow reserve (used, among another things, for training reservists).
