Information about the "free train from Tusk" began to appear in the morning on social media. A right-wing tv worker Republika uploaded a video of a passenger talking to the conductor. The first 1 asks what lineup and whether the journey is free. The railway driver answers that it is simply a peculiar train and there is no toll on it.
"HIT. Tusk played free trains to Warsaw to drive people to his march. That hasn't happened yet. The railway for political action was involved" – wrote Tomasz Kalinowski from tv Republika on his X profile.
His entry was further given by Przemysław Czarnek, erstwhile Minister of Education. He covered it with a note saying, "We request immediate explanations from the PKP: who this peculiar train ordered and who paid for it. Most important: is the PKP backing the Trzask campaign?".
This question, among another things on behalf of Czarnek, was asked by WP.pl journalists to the Silesian Railways.
It's all wrong.
A spokesperson for Bartłomiej Wwuk explained that anyone, erstwhile rolling stock is available, can order a peculiar journey.
– The train, which it operates today, i.e. 25 May 2025, the Katowice – Warszawa – Katowice way was ordered and paid for by the Defence Committee of Democracy on commercial terms, i.e. at a price that guarantees not only the costs but generates a profit for the carrier," said the spokesman.
So it turned out that the state not only did not pay for this train, but besides earned money from it.
