Black clouds over the Kurdistan Region in Iraq

The last parliamentary elections in the Kurdistan Region were held in September 2018 and were already delayed by a year. The pretext to postpone the elections at the time was the safety situation associated with the war with the muslim State, as well as the effects of the 2017 independency referendum. The problem is that these arguments were unconvincing, since a fewer months earlier elections to the Iraqi Parliament were held without hindrance, in which the Kurds besides participated despite the disastrous consequences of their referendum.
