Cyprus attacked by drones from Iran. Authorities respond immediately

At the base of the Royal Air Force of large Britain, Akrotiri in Cyprus struck the Iranian drone – handed over to the Cypriot authorities and the British Ministry of Defence. The attack occurred last night from Sunday to Monday. The president of Cyprus Nikos Christodulidis reacted decisively.


Cyprus president Nikos Christodulidis reported that the attack caused small material damage. It was previously reported that 2 unmanned aircraft were active in the attack on the Royal Air Force base of large Britain's Akrotiri in Cyprus and 1 was shot down.

According to local media, it was expected to be an Iranian Shahed 136 combat drone. “I want to make it clear that our country is not participating and has no intention of participating in any military action,” said Christodulidis.
