From 19 to 21 November, in the area of the districts of Sanock and Leski, exercises of rescue, uniform and crisis services were carried out as part of the task "Alert MCI". This is 1 of the largest actions of this kind in the region, aimed at preparing services to take rescue measures and to respond appropriately to emergencies.
On the second day of the MCI Alert exercise, which took place in the vicinity of Solina, among the many participants of local units and uniformed services, were besides WOT soldiers from the 203th Sanock Battalion of defence border with 20. The Industrial Territorial Defence Brigade. The exercises were carried out in densely wooded areas, which was to prepare realistically for an effective consequence to emergencies. It was besides intended to strengthen the cooperation of all emergency management services.
The 203rd Border defender Battalion was tasked with participating in the implementation of the exercise script involving the separation of forces and resources to support the search for remains of drones and the search for tourists who took refuge in the forest on Mount Jawor and lost on forested mountain slopes.
The ‘Alert MCI’ aims to improve emergency consequence skills and to check the interaction of services in conditions as closely as possible to the actual ones. Simulations will include crisis scenarios requiring coordination of multiple units simultaneously.
Actions are to prepare the service to respond effectively to mass events, improve communication between formations and improve safety procedures.
